FBCCI’s Business Targets are Middle East,Africa and Asia.Bangladesh is still lagging behind in the expansion of trade in other regions of the world outside the conventional markets of Europe and America.

Therefore,the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FBCCI),the apex organization of businessmen,considers the commercial activities to be strong,timely and important to catch the unconventional markets in the changing global situation.

FBCCI President Md:Jasim Uddin thinks,in this case,there is no alternative to strengthen trade targeting the markets of Middle East,Africa and Asian countries.

The FBCCI president said this in a courtesy meeting with the newly appointed ambassador of Bangladesh to Libya,Major General Abul Hasnat Mohammad Khairul Bashar,on Wednesday (May 17).

In the meeting,Jasim Uddin said that Bangladesh is still lagging behind in the expansion of trade in other regions of the world,including Europe and the United States.He also commented that it is necessary to take initiative to establish ourselves in the unconventional markets of the world including Middle East,Africa,Asia.

The global geopolitical context has opened doors of opportunity for Bangladesh as buyers move away from single market dependence.The FBCCI president commented that Bangladesh should increase its efficiency in marketing strategy to utilize this potential.

Highlighting the potential sectors of the country. Jasim Uddin said that the global market of processed food industry is expanding day by day. Here is an opportunity to do better.Besides medicine,electronic products,light engineering, leather and leather products,ceramics and plastic products the potential is also immense. He urged the ambassador of Bangladesh appointed in the country to take initiative in expanding the market of these products in Libya.

Major General Abul Hasnat Mohammad Khairul Bashar in response to the call of the FBCCI president assured that after taking charge,he will take necessary programs to increase the bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Libya.

The newly appointed ambassador of Libya also said,The security situation in Libya is gradually improving.We will also work seriously on the export of manpower in the country including the mentioned sectors.In this regard,I am hopeful that we can further accelerate the business and trade between the two countries after receiving the valuable advice and opinion of FBCCI.

Also present at the courtesy meeting was the Vice President of FBCCI.Habib Ullah Don,Secretary General Mohammad Mahfuzul Haque, Ambassador Masood Mannan etc.
